Case Study
Alphabeta Building, Finsbury Square

Overview
We Are Social's London home is the Alphabeta Building on Finsbury Square. Ten years on from the original fit out, the space no longer matched how the agency works. Refurbishing in situ around a live office, we repurposed the spaces they already had and made them fit for the future, with the team's working week carrying on as normal.
Reworked, Not Replaced
Existing rooms were kept and refreshed, shaped around how each one is actually used.
Every Space Accounted For
Bookable rooms with clear identities keep the whole floor working hard, not just the desks.
The Challenge
The budget was tight and the building never emptied. Focus rooms sat underused, and the space had stopped reflecting the energy of the brand. Every pound had to count, so we workshopped the options together, pushing the areas that would make a real difference and value engineering the ones that would not repay the spend.
Brand Front and Centre
We Are Social's pink lands hard against the muted palette, so the brand brings the energy, not the paintwork.
A More Grown Up Room
Warm cognac upholstery and oak framed seating bring the more grown up feel the agency was after.
The Solution
Rather than rip everything out and start again, we wrapped the existing tea point, repurposed furnishings across the floor and turned single chair focus rooms into upholstered booths for team calls and heads down work. Reuse kept the budget and the carbon down, while every space gained a clearer purpose and a stronger identity.
Booths Built for Focus
Single chair focus rooms became soft, upholstered booths, sized for team calls and proper heads down time.
Quiet by Design
Routed acoustic felt wraps each booth, keeping calls crisp on a busy floor.
The Brand in Every Detail
Playful manifestations carry We Are Social's voice across the glazing of every booth.

The Result
The work ran over six weeks of Friday to Monday shifts, timed around home working days so the team never lost their space. A decade old fit out now feels grown up without losing its sense of fun, with booths, snugs and social spaces shaped around how the agency actually works today. The feedback says it best: the workspace has come on leaps and bounds for their people.
The Snug
A softer, screen equipped lounge for informal catch ups, tucked away from the desks.
Focus on Demand
Bookable booths line the floor, giving the team quiet, usable space their old focus rooms never quite managed.
The Experience
We took on a strong advisory role from day one, using design development and furniture showroom workshops to show the team exactly what they were getting, visually and against the budget. Delivering at weekends in a building of Alphabeta's scale took careful logistics, coordinating access and security so that every Monday morning simply carried on.
Personality on the Walls
A gallery of internet culture keeps the space unmistakably We Are Social, grown up but never corporate.
Repurposed, Not Rebought
Existing furnishings were reworked and redeployed across the floor, stretching budget and cutting waste.
