A London showroom designed to be experienced

Social Spaces' first London showroom at 14 St John's Lane was created to be experienced, not simply viewed. It is a space designed for designers, immersive and considered from every angle, where the scent, the sight and the feel of everything has been thought through. Set across two floors, it gives the brand room to showcase the full collection and host their clients in surroundings that feel unmistakably their own.

An open, angular space with no identity

When Social Spaces approached us to design their first London showroom, we were met with a blank, open and very angular space. The task was to turn it into somewhere that could flex to every setting in their collection, zoning each one clearly, while drawing people in from a busy street. The bones of the building were rigid where the brand needed warmth, flow and a real sense of invitation.

Prime Location

Full-height glazing keeps the showroom open to the street, capitalising on the busy location.

Organic forms and light that guide the way

We softened the architecture with curved forms and natural textures, then introduced a bespoke tubular light line that guides visitors through the space and past every piece. A dark feature backdrop and ceilings let each furniture setting stand out in its own pop of colour, zoning the collection as you move. A hospitality-led bar and reception, antiqued mottled mirrors and millimetre-precise joinery give the showroom a character entirely its own.

A curtain sections off the floor so each furniture setting has its own distinct zone and mood.

A showroom shaped around flow and atmosphere

The result is a showroom shaped around flow, atmosphere and flexibility. Upstairs delivers a bold showcase for the furniture settings, while the lower ground offers a more private, adaptable space for hosting, finishes meetings and events, set away from the eye line of the street. Refined, welcoming and built to evolve alongside the brand it represents, the entire space was designed and delivered in just six weeks.

Every detail designed with intention

Every element was designed with intention, from the layered material palette and bespoke joinery to the lighting, finishes and furniture settings that bring the showroom to life. It is a reflection of how thoughtful design and efficient delivery can work hand in hand, resulting in a space that feels refined, welcoming and ready to grow with the brand. A project we are incredibly proud to have brought to life.
