Case Study
14 St John's Lane, London

Overview
Social Spaces' first London showroom at 14 St John's Lane was made to be experienced, not simply viewed. Designed for designers, it is immersive and considered from every angle, engaging the scent, sight and feel of the space. Across two floors, it showcases the full collection and hosts clients in surroundings that feel their own.
Flexible Showcase
Upstairs stays a flexible showcase, easily rearranged around new pieces as the collection grows.
Room to Linger
Comfortable lounge seating invites clients to settle in and take in the collection at an unhurried pace.
The Challenge
When Social Spaces approached us, their first London showroom was a blank, open and very angular space. The brief: make it flex to every setting in the collection, zoning each clearly while drawing people in from the street. Its bold, angular bones became the perfect canvas for the warmth, flow and invitation the brand needed.
Window Display
Key products sit in the street-facing window, drawing passing footfall in off St John's Lane.
Prime Location
Full-height glazing keeps the showroom open to the street, capitalising on the busy location.
The Solution
Curved forms and natural textures soften the architecture, while a bespoke tubular light guides visitors past every piece. Dark walls and ceilings let each setting pop with its own colour, zoning the collection as you move. A hospitality-led bar, antique mirrors and millimetre-precise joinery give it a character all its own.
Bespoke Tubular Lighting
A bespoke tubular light line traces the ceiling, guiding visitors through the showroom past every piece.
Curved Organic Forms
Soft, rounded furniture and natural textures soften the building's hard, angular architecture.

The Result
The result is a showroom shaped around flow, atmosphere and flexibility. Upstairs delivers a bold showcase for the furniture settings, while the lower ground offers a more private, adaptable space for hosting, finishes meetings and events, set away from the eye line of the street. Refined, welcoming and built to evolve alongside the brand it represents, the entire space was designed and delivered in just six weeks.
A Zone for Every Setting
A curtain sections off the floor so each furniture setting has its own distinct zone and mood.
Dark Feature Backdrop
Dark walls and ceilings make each furniture setting and its pops of colour stand out.
The Experience
Every element was designed with intention, from the layered material palette and bespoke joinery to the lighting, finishes and furniture settings that bring the showroom to life. It is a reflection of how thoughtful design and efficient delivery can work hand in hand, resulting in a space that feels refined, welcoming and ready to grow with the brand. A project we are incredibly proud to have brought to life.
